In native tradition, a Heyokah is a contrary clown who holds total wisdom and teaches through laughter and opposites from within the tribe. Many of the lessons they impart come from teachings about  the animal totem Coyote or Trickster as  he is often referred.

 

Twisted Heyokah Design is the creation of Colleen Boyle and is based just outside of Albuquerque, New Mexico. The idea for my design studio came about through incidents from my past. As a child, my Mother always called me the family “clown” who held a wise streak. Later, I discovered from a native friend that Coyote was indeed one of my animal totems.

 

Twisted Heyokah Design specializes in conceptual design and illustration, logo design, corporate identity and branding, graphic web and print media design and photography services.  We also offer direct mail marketing consultation with an emphasis on small business promotion to help others.
